Biography

Robert E. "Bob" Zoss Sr. was born and raised in South Bend, Ind. He is a 1967 graduate of Howe Military School, where he rose to the rank of cadet captain and was initially on the battalion staff and then a company commander. Upon his graduation, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington and completed his undergraduate degree in business management in only 3 years. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he was accepted to the Indiana University Law School in Bloomington, Ind., graduating with a juris doctorate degree in 1974.

He has been a resident of Evansville, Indiana, since 1974, initially working for a local law firm and then as a Deputy Prosecutor; a position he maintained for the last 35 years until his recent retirement from that office on March 16, 2012. During his some 35 years as a felony trial deputy, Bob has handled many murders and other high profile cases on behalf of the State of Indiana. He has successfully tried well over 150 jury trials for the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office and several significant personal injury cases as well. He has been married to his wife, Heather, for more than 25 years and has 8 children and 6 grandchildren.

Throughout his years of practice, he has limited his focus to family law matters. His firm has also handled major personal injury cases and with his experience in criminal law, he is now accepting criminal defense cases, which he believes is a natural transition from his years as a deputy prosecutor. He maintains a reputation as being well prepared, aggressive, but also fair. He practices law with Terrell Maurer, Jeff Shoulders, Zach Winsett, and Keating Zoss.

With the extensive experience he has, Bob Zoss will actively undertake your representation in these areas, should you find that you need legal representation. Although he practices anywhere in Southern Indiana, his geographic practice areas mainly consist of Vanderburgh County, Gibson County, Warrick County, Posey County, Knox County, Pike County, Dubois County and Daviess County. However, he will travel if requested or required to do so.
